Beloved

The Anthology

In Beloved we're holding a tribute to our nostalgia about technology and its place in our lives. Join us as our lineup of incredible artists tell tales of hit clips lost in a fire, vampiric heirlooms, the lurid things we looked up on the shared family computer, and plenty more.

By pre-ordering or purchasing, you will help us fundraise for a new Risograph press. Much like the technology in the anthology, we love our 30+ year old Riso GRs, but with the increase in production schedule, we've come to realize we need a more modern machine for better reliability and throughput. This will be a very special edition, and we won't be doing a reprint anytime soon (or at all!) If you're a fan of Diskette, grab a copy, and you'll be enabling us to make bigger runs, faster, with a real bump in quality, too!

Why the Fundraiser?

Diskette Press all started with a Risograph. Our GR3770 has been with us since the days Diskette was operated out of Carta's bedroom back in 2017. It's been a decade now and Babygirl (as she's become known) has been joined by a GR3750 (Jellybean) along with 15 working drums. They're two workhorses that have enabled us to create some real masterpieces, but with our recent increase in production schedule, we've come to realize we need a more modern machine for better reliability and throughput.

Diskette Press continues to ramp up our output after a monumental 2026. We've got a couple dozen books under our belt, and we're looking forwards to a 2027 with even more ambitious projects. Not only that, but we're already had to do multiple reprints of books we published just months prior! Thanks to all of you for supporting Diskette by buying our books since we've taken over–we're closing in on 10,000 sold!

It's an absolutely wild metric when you consider the amount of paper moving through the press, to our hands, and then to you. It goes without saying that this press is a full-time job! We're see a lot of growth for Diskette and plenty more on the horizon, and we need a new press like this to meet the your demands! You're just too thirsty for all of our artist's great work!

The Press

Alright, if you've made it this far, you're interested in the nitty gritty.

It's our goal to raise at least $10,000 to help fund a new Risograph. What sort of press we end up getting is up to you! The more we raise, the better press we can get! Ideally, we'll be shooting for at least an SF, but the real goal is an MZ or a MF dual-drum Risograph. Two colors in a single pass will quite literally double our production speed!

Additionally, we'll also be able to get more drums based on how well the fundraiser is doing! Given that we're moving from GR to a newer model line, we'll also have to purchase new drums to get back to our current wide range of colors (15!). We're prepared to have a limited palette on our new machine of some primaries and black to start with, but you can start us off right with a few extras of our most popular colors.
